ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING

A central part of membership in the Talloires Network is being aware of how civic engagement is and can be integrated into research, teaching, and service. Carrying out a comprehensive institutional assessment helps institutions identify what infrastructure they have to support social responsibility and how students, staff, and faculty view their civic engagement.

We believe that performing a self-assessment of the community engagement activities at each institution is a valuable process. While we no longer require this to become a member of the network, we encourage all members to undertake this process at their institution. We can provide you with various assessment tools and connect you with specialists in the field.

The following assessments were completed using the tool prepared by Sir David Watson for the Association of Commonwealth Universities. Some provide the entire assessment, while others are an executive summary of the findings.
