Ahfad University Accepting Nominations for the Yousif Badri Civic Engagement International Prize

Talloires Network Member Ahfad University (Sudan) is accepting nominations for the Yousif Badri Civic Engagement International Prize (YbCEIP). YbCEIP recognizes and celebrates extraordinary university programs committed to ongoing community engagement and service. The namesake of the prize, Yousif Badri, dedicated his life to women’s education and civic engagement.

The first prize winner will receive a $5,000 gift. Second and third place will receive $3,000 and $2,000.

All universities with civic engagement programs are welcome to apply. Programs can be part of university degree requirements or extracurricular volunteer activities. Applications will be judged according to the following criteria:

  • Active engagement for vulnerable communities
  • Sustainable initiatives for social change
  • Student leadership and university involvement
