Ayanda W. Mwambetania
Ayanda Mwambetania is a dedicated advocate for menstrual health, women’s empowerment, and environmental sustainability. Originally from Malawi and currently studying in Ghana pursuing Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Quantity Surveying and Construction Economics, she is committed to ensuring that no girl misses school due to lack of access to sanitary products.
Ayanda’s initiative focuses on producing affordable, reusable, and biodegradable sanitary pads using agricultural waste, paper waste, and textile waste. This not only promotes menstrual hygiene but also creates economic opportunities for women facing domestic violence, enabling them to gain financial independence.
Through the For Youth, By Youth movement, Ayanda hopes to amplify awareness, drive sustainable solutions, and empower communities by combining innovation, advocacy, and youth-led action.
