Abanga Moses Aningiba

Abanga Moses was born in Garu, a small village in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Despite being physically challenged and relying on a wheelchair for mobility, Moses is determined to prove that disability is never an inability. Moses grew up in a humble family in Nomboko, a community within the Garu District. He began his elementary education there and later attended Tempane Senior High School, where he pursued General Arts from 2017 to 2020. He also served as the president of the youth saving club of the Garu-Tempane Teachers Cooperative Credit Union from 2019 to 2020 at Tempane SHS. Currently, Moses is a third-year student at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics under the Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program. They held the positions of Deputy Public Relations Officer (PRO) and Deputy Counseling Unit Coordinator for SWDA-KNUST and ESA-KNUST, respectively, during the 2023 and 2025 academic years. Moses is the current Financial Secretary of SWDA-KNUST. In addition to his academic pursuits, Moses co-founded MOJEN Foundation (Moses and Jennifer Foundation) with a fellow scholar. Their mission is to alleviate poverty among persons with disabilities, widows, and single mothers through entrepreneurship empowerment. Moses is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of young children, particularly those living with disabilities. He is currently mentoring ten pupils, including two persons with disabilities, in basic education to support their pursuit of higher education. Moses believes that collective efforts and dedication can contribute to creating a better society for ourselves and future generations.
