Mercy Oziohu

Mercy is a passionate sustainability advocate and youth leader dedicated to advancing environmental justice, community resilience, and inclusive development. She is currently pursuing a Master of International Forestry at the University of British Columbia, where her work focuses on forest governance, climate action, and Indigenous-led conservation. Mercy is actively involved in projects that reduce food waste and circular economy solutions as strategies to combat land degradation and restore soil health, particularly in vulnerable communities. She believes that to change the world, we must start by empowering youth because when young people are equipped with the right tools, knowledge, and opportunities, they become powerful agents of transformation. Through the For Youth, By Youth movement, Mercy hopes to collaborate with fellow changemakers and help amplify youth-led innovation for a more just, regenerative, and sustainable future.
