Brief description about civic engagements of LUAWMS

The Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences was chartered through an ordinance of the Government of Balochistan, Pakistan on 7^th March, 2005.  At present, it has six faculties: Agriculture, Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Marine Sciences, Water Resource Management, Social Sciences Management and Information Technology, and Faculty of Education. It is the only degree awarding university/institute of the province Balochistan in the field of Animal and Veterinary Sciences and Marine Sciences.

LUAWMS organizes a variety of programs, trainings, workshops for the benefit community common man, agriculture farmers, livestock farmers and fisherman. They made aware about new research, modern technologies and applications in their respective community and civic works/professions to save money, labor and time. University also provides free advisory services, doorstep expertise and to the agriculture, livestock and marine farmers. The researchers and students of different departments are assigned special tasks of community surveys in order to know the problems and strengths of the region in different sectors. Then projects are designed as per need of communities so that social development and economic generation of the public can be enhanced.
