Department of Extension Services

Mzumbe studentsThe Department designs and conducts action-oriented research in rural communities, village governments, public and private organisations to determine needs for continuing education. The results of the research are used to design appropriate in-service full-time and part-time distance learning programmes. Particular attention is given to building the capacity of rural communities and good governance in village governments to fight against ignorance, poverty and diseases, especially HIV/AIDS. Centre for Advocacy, Human and Civil Rights Services

The functions of this Centre address the different rights of the individuals and groups of individuals and Mzumbe studentthe way these rights are being granted in the society. The Centre designs and implements advocacy programmes on different human and civil rights at individual, household or family, community, and organization levels. The Centre works in collaboration with Civil Rights Commissions and Human Rights Groups inside and outside the country. Learn more>>
