The Talloires Network is committed to support student leadership which is playing a powerful role in building the global movement of civic engagement and social responsibility in higher education.  Therefore we are working to expand how the Network reinforces student initiative and to build new ways for students to participate in the Network.  We’re actively looking for ideas and want to hear from you.

Here are some our student activities to date:

  • Madrid Conference Communications Team – we had a dedicated group of student blogging and tweeting updates from Madrid.
  • Youth Economic Participation Initiative planning – student interviewers worldwide are playing the key role in planning for two online dialogues.
  • MacJannet Prize – our flagship prize where we recognize student leadership.
  • CGI U 2008

Some ways to participate:

Learn about civic engagement and the role of higher education – Read about what we do and access our resources.

Promote civic engagement at your institution – Is your institution a member of the Talloires Network?  If not, encourage your faculty, staff, and administration to sign the Talloires Declaration on the Civic Roles and Social Responsibilities of Higher Education and to join the Network.
