Kamvelihle Mapundu

Kamvelihle Mapundu is 28 years old and currently pursuing a Master’s in Diplomatic Studies at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. She is, in many ways, still on a journey of self-discovery. However, she has come to know that she has a deep passion for Africa and is strongly committed to contributing to the creation of a continent that works for its people.

Kamvelihle believes education is one of the most powerful catalysts for change. She has experienced its transformative power in her own life, and the knowledge that there remains a great disparity in the quality of education between rural and urban South African schools keeps her up at night. This is a challenge she is determined to address.
