Bureau of Integrated Rural Development (BIRD)

BIRD seeks to provide an interface between the University and rural communities.  It aims at transferring innovations and other services available at the University needed to promote rural development to enhance quality of life in rural areas. Main areas of activity at BIRD include:

  • Cultural Heritage Development and Tourism
  • Gender, Livelihoods and Poverty Reduction
  • Capacity Building and Human Resource Development
  • Renewable Energy
  • Environmental and Natural Resources Management
