Biography:
Antonio Sánchez Chacón is a Systems Engineer with a Master’s degree in university teaching. He completed postgraduate studies from 2002 to 2005 in Local Development Management and Local Economic Development, promoted by the Spanish International Cooperation Agency (AECI). In 2005 he participated in the Spanish-Peruvian IV day to strengthen the decentralization process in Spain.
Since 2003 he has been working on local development projects linked to academic work. In 2005, the Corporación Andina de Fomento (CAF) and the Interamerican Development Bank (IDB) awarded funding to "Reducing the Digital Divide," a USS service-learning project dedicated to providing the residents of deprived areas of the region easier access to information technologies. Chacón has also developed projects for the Germany-Peru Fund, Inwent, and other international institutions.
