Minhaj University Lahore was founded in 1986 by Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, patron-in-chief of Minhaj ul Quran International. It is in a significant place which is easily approachable from all the main areas of the city. Its campuses are situated at Township & Model Town. Degree awarding status was granted by Govt. of the Punjab vide Act No: XII of 2005. The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has also recognized Minhaj University, as a ‘W3‘ranking University. It comprises nine faculties that of Computer Science & Information Technology, Basic Sciences & Mathematics, Economics & Management Sciences, Social Sciences & Humanities, Languages, Shariah & Islamic Studies, Engineering, Allied Health Sciences, Applied Sciences. Faculties have numerous Schools and Teaching Departments. University also has two Centres including the International Centre of Research in Islamic Economic (ICRIE) and the International Center of Excellence (ICE). It has a purpose-built campus with allied administrative and educational facilities like science laboratories, Computer Lab, Research Lab, libraries, hostels, a cafeteria, a mosque, parking areas, and a playground. In nutshell, Minhaj University generates in students’ concept of building up hallmark of career formation by both academic and empirical wisdom, vision, and observation to understand what they are going to be with the concept of maturity with purity is a surety of success and thus paving the way to glorious success.

Disciplines Offered:
MUL offers a unique blend of 130+ academic degrees including Associate Degree Program, Bachelors Program, MS/M.Phil. Program and Ph.D. Program in a wide range of disciplines. The curriculum not only provides a solid foundation of the disciplines involved but also imparts specific skills and specializations that the students are looking for. Agosh Orphan Care Home
Constructed in 2008, the Agosh Orphan Care Home provides shelter and education in a safe environment to ensure orphan children are given the opportunity to grow into socially productive adults. As the largest orphan home care in Pakistan, Agosh overseas the well-being and education of 500 orphans. Minhaj University Lahore has been providing educational services and student support to the orphanage since 2013.
Minhaj Welfare Foundation
Minhaj University Lahore is a partner with the Minhaj Welfare Foundation, one of the largest non-government charity organizations in Pakistan. They work to ensure people’s human rights, provide access to education for all children, provide basic health care to all, and provide social and economic welfare. Minhaj University Lahore students and faculty work alongside the MWF to launch emergency aid, provide education and support towards poverty eradication and education access.
Peace and Counter Terrorism Department
The University has also pioneered Peace and Counter Terrorism Department, to help in coping with the menace of terrorism at national and international level. The founding father of Minhaj University Lahore, Professor Dr. Tahir ul Qadiri is a famous and renowned Muslim Scholar working for International peace, harmony, and interfaith cooperation. Their schools of religion and philosophy also focus on promoting harmony and interfaith cooperation.
