Michel Rutendo Mandiopera

Michel Rutendo is a dedicated social work professional with a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Work and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. She is a Mastercard Foundation Award Winner, currently studying Global Challenges at the University of Edinburgh. With extensive experience in statutory and community-based social work, Michel has supported children, families, and vulnerable populations, specializing in social welfare, mental health, and crisis intervention.

She contributed to UNICEF’s 2023 Global Report on Children in Poly crisis and is a published poet. As the founder of Soul Canvas Creations, she advocates for mental health through self-expressive art. Her leadership extends to youth mentorship, policy advocacy, and community empowerment, ensuring sustainable support systems for marginalized groups. Passionate about global change, Michel continuously engages in initiatives that promote social justice, well-being, and creative expression.
