Riyadh Polytechnic Institute (Saudi Arabia)
Riyadh Polytechnic Institute (RPI) is a non-profit institute founded in 2010. RPI is one of the successful projects of the National Center for Strategic Partnership which organizes the partnerships between public and private sector companies. RPI is licensed by the Saudi Technical and Vocational Training Corporation to provide specialized technical training programs designed to meet the private sector employment needs targeting manufacturing industries with guaranteed employment upon graduation.
RPI has been providing training programs to over twelve companies. More than a thousand trainees have graduated from RPI are working now in different manufacturing industries. The prominent specialized programs offered entail Printing and Packaging Technologies, Electromechanical, Supply Chain Management and Digital Manufacturing.
The institute contributes to the development of the national economy by creating employment opportunities with sponsor companies and produce a qualified technical workforce for the local private sector who will contribute to the country’s progress and the kingdom’s 2030 vision.
RPI places a particular focus towards the wider community and developing a sense of social responsibility in its trainees, staff and labor market. The institute arrange various events, training courses, other civic activities as part of its commitment towards civic and social responsibilities such as:
Seminars: The institute annually organizes educational seminars and invites practitioners and professionals from related academic and manufacturing industries to take part in events based on scientific topics pertinent to their industries in order to give participants better insight into the subject and help raise awareness and improve skills or inform future strategic decision making.
Free Training courses: RPI offers free short training courses for charity organizations, high school graduates, other private and public organizations in various areas such as health and safety, English language, computer skills, soft skills, printing and packaging topics, and other educational topics, etc.
Additionally, RPI trainees’ civic engagement activities are also included in RPI training programs. The institute encourages its trainee’s in civic engagement through various charitable events such as the blood donation campaigns, health and safety awareness activities targeting the society, World No Tobacco Day, etc.
