NUST Header

National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) was founded in 1991 for the promotion of higher education in the field of sciences and technology, by providing an environment for higher learning and need-based research, pertinent to the national requirements. It was granted its Charter in 1993. Over the years, it has grown in scope, services and stature as a premier institution, and emerged as a leading comprehensive university in the public sector.

Guided by its vision to become a research-intensive university of international standing, NUST has not only set new norms of excellence in teaching, research and innovation, but also developed a culture which is conducive to creative activities and promotes talent in all forms. In fact, creativity and innovation are imbedded as core values in all scholastic activities. All academic and extra-mural activities are directed towards shaping of dynamic professionals of a very high caliber, capable of meeting emerging challenges of the new millennium, paving fresh paths in their respective fields of endeavor.

NUST equips and grooms its students for local as well as international job markets. It entails wholesome growth of personality, from professional expertise to social skills and leadership attributes. For this, the students are exposed to the best in thought and example. NCVI Diagnostics

NUST Center for Virology and Immunology (NCVI), a constituent Center of National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Islamabad Pakistan, has recently established a state-of-the-art diagnostic laboratory named as ‘NCVI Diagnostics.’ NCVI Diagnostics has provided the Pakistani population with equitable access to diagnostics services with well recognized quality at very affordable price, underpinned by NUST’s long-established policy that "no one should be denied adequate healthcare through lack of means." NUST Volunteers Club (NVC)

 Founded in 2007, the NVC is a student-run organization with a mission of bringing the minds of university students and change them into responsible citizens and leaders with a lifelong commitment to community service. The objectives of the NVC are:

  1. Service: we believe in providing quality service in whatever is being done. Providing assistance,aid,care to the society is the foremost objective of the club and no compromises are acceptable in this regard.
  2. Fellowship: in doing all this arduous volunteer work we not only instill a rigor for citizenship in our members but also a very strong bond of fellowship that they can be proud of.
  3. Leadership: we believe that leadership is the art of motivating a group of people to act towards achieving a common goal bestowed upon us by the higher authority. Learn more>>

Make a Difference

"Make a Difference"  traces back its roots to October 2008 when three consecutive earthquakes hit the province of Balauchistan in south-western Pakistan. "Make a Difference" targets crisis management, poverty alleviation, education and community development. "Make a Difference" has held major fundraising drives for earthquake victims, as well as IDP’s displaced by the conflict in the Swat region. The group has also launched a child sponsorship program to help SOS Children’s Village to provide food, shelter, health care, and education to disadvantaged or orphaned children.
