Announcing the Talloires Network Student Ambassadors

We are pleased to announce the selection of the first cohort of Talloires Network Student Ambassadors. We hope that his new initiative will significantly raise the profile, voice and leadership of students at engaged universities around the world.
The cohort includes eight students and recent graduates from Chile, India, Kenya, Mexico and South Africa. It is a diverse and dynamic group, including two student entrepreneurs from Youth Economic Participation Initiative universities, a student active in the Millennium Campus Network, two MasterCard Foundation Scholars, a MacJannet Prize winner and a former MasterCard Foundation Youth Think Tank member.

Elias Becerra Grajales – Universidad Veracruzana, Mexico
Elizabeth Muthoni Nderitu – Earth University, Costa Rica
Geoffrey Ajiki – Kenyatta University, Kenya
Laura-Jane Watkins – University of the Free State, South Africa
Purity Wamuyu – Laikipia University, Kenya
Sihle Mashaba – University of Pretoria, South Africa
Students Ambassadors will work with Talloires Network staff over the next 12 months to produce articles that convey a student perspective on a wide range of topics related to engaged universities. These will be published and shared widely through the Talloires Network web site, newsletter, community of practice, social media and other avenues. Please stay tuned for the first articles in May!
