Update from the Chair: President Lawrence BacowThe past few months have been exciting for the Talloires Network. Our membership has expanded to 51 institutions, with new members joining us from Australia, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, and the U.S. We are expanding the reach of our Global Project by partnering with UNESCO’s Education for All Campaign, and we have been invited to contribute to the UN’s Mid-Decade Review on Literacy. You can read about the success of our growing student movement in our Student Conference Report. I hope you will enjoy this issue of Talloires Network News. This month we are focusing on the use of new technologies to expand access to education. We are also featuring new resources and upcoming events. I encourage you to contribute descriptions of innovative projects and resources for our future issues by emailing fortner@icicp.org. Thank you, and best wishes. – President Lawrence S.
