Helena Nuwagaba

Helena is a passionate advocate for digital equity and sustainable development. She is currently pursuing Sustainable Lands and Cities at the University of Edinburgh, where she also serves as the programme representative for her cohort. Growing up in a humble village, technology was a distant concept, and her first encounter with a computer was in Senior Four. Today, many students in her community still complete their education without ever touching modern technology.

Motivated by the values of the For Youth, By Youth movement, she is committed to bridging this digital divide by enhancing computer literacy among both students and teachers. She aspires to leverage the knowledge, skills, and connections from this inspiring network to ignite transformative change in her community, ensuring technology becomes a catalyst for progress, social equity, and sustainable growth.
