Nyingilayefa (Layefa) G. Ernest

Layefa is a resilient and community-driven individual from Bayelsa, Nigeria. Growing up in a flood-prone region, she experienced the harsh realities of climate change, food insecurity and the prevalence of poverty in her community. These challenges sparked her passion for transforming agricultural systems and promoting sustainable practices. Currently, as a Mastercard Foundation Scholar pursuing a master’s in Food Security at the University of Edinburgh, she is focused on addressing these issues through innovative solutions.

With over four years of professional experience in communication, Layefa has honed her storytelling skills. She uses her YouTube channel to inspire others.
