Sibani Shandu
A rising leader in medicine, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Sibani Shandu is a third-year medical student at the University of Cape Town (UCT), born and raised in the rural community of Okhalweni, Pietermaritzburg. His journey from Ngilanyoni C.P. School to UCT reflects his resilience and commitment to excellence. Passionate about medicine, leadership, and social impact, he currently serves as Head of Tutoring in residence and has held roles such as Academic Representative, Gender Marshall, and Tutor. Sibani has also served in the financial subcommittee of the Rural Health Society. He is deeply interested in philosophy, theology, politics, debating and is fascinated by Immunology. Sibani is driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, impact, and innovation, aspiring to leave a lasting mark in the world.
