Theophile Manirakiza
Theophile is a Mental Health Nursing student at the University of Rwanda, Huye Campus, and a Mastercard Foundation Scholar. Passionate about youth empowerment, mental health, and inclusive education, he draws strength from his personal journey having lost his left eye at the age of nine. This experience shaped his commitment to advocating for vulnerable communities, especially young people facing psychological or social challenges.
He currently serves as a Wellness Group Facilitator, Soft Skills educator, and peer mentor, where he supports youth in building resilience and life skills. Theophile believes education is more than acquiring knowledge it’s a path to personal growth, purpose, and community transformation.
Through the For Youth, By Youth movement, he aims to amplify youth voices, promote mental well-being, and collaborate with global changemakers to build more compassionate and inclusive communities.
