The Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento is a public university founded in 1993. Located in one of the poorest areas in the Buenos Aires region, the Universidad Nacional de General Sarmiento focuses its civic engagement programs on increasing the access of young people to higher education, thus improving their opportunities in the job market. Center for Community Service
UNGS’s Center for Community Service overseas the university’s engagement with the community. This engagement takes many forms, including: Technical Assistance; Training for technical and professional staff; Development of diagnostic tools; Basic research and / or applied research aimed at obtaining specific results; Consulting services, audits and external expertise; Encouraging student volunteering.
